Dallas Western Market

Howdy Miss Rodeo Texas Fans,

A cowgirl’s three favorite things: her horse, rodeos, and of course shopping!  A little shopping is exactly what Marjorie Murphy, Miss Rodeo Texas State Director, Linda Ebest,Miss Rodeo Texas Chaperone, and I did last weekend at the Dallas Western Market. The Dallas Western Market is held every March and August inside Fashion Center Dallas. This market is very unique and features western garments and accessories for both men and women. I was so excited to scope out the newest trends in western fashions.

While at Dallas Market, we stopped at a few of the Miss Rodeo Texas organization’s gracious sponsors to tell them thank you, and let them know we are grateful for their support. Our first stop was the Wrangler store, where we visited and thanked Wrangler for keeping me dressed this year as Miss Rodeo Texas in my favorite brand of jeans.

Next we went on to the Kippy’s showroom, where we were greeted by Bob Kipperman, Paige, and Denise. Bob was one of my judges at the 2012 Miss Rodeo Texas pageant. I had a great time catching up, sharing laughs, and trying on his blinged-out jackets and belts! After stopping by Kippy’s, Marjorie, Linda, and I went to Patricia and Sam Wolf’s showroom. Patricia and Sam specialize in unique western fashions and offer a trendy western collection ranging from fun hats, belts, gloves, and clothing. Sam and Patricia are  former Miss Rodeo Texas judges.

During the pageant last June, the contestants and I were so fortunate to be able to model designs from both Kippy and Patricia Wolf’s line at the fashion show. Both of these designers have been very supportive of the pageant and are greatly appreciated. We all had a terrific time being outfitted by these talented designers and showcasing our personalities on stage at the pageant.
At this point, we had worked up quite an appetite and decided to head over to Highland Park and have lunch at Café Pacific. The three of us enjoyed a delicious lunch in this beautiful section of Dallas before heading back to market to finish shopping.

Just as we were headed back to the airport, it began pouring down rain. After a three hour flight delay at the airport, we finally weathered the storm and made it back to San Antonio safely. Our trip to Dallas was wonderful, and I enjoyed spending time with our sponsors and former Miss Rodeo Texas judges.

Happy Trails,

Rosanna Pace
