Corpus Christi Buc Days Rodeo

11049605_974023612615567_6232627910286067801_nMy travels as Miss Rodeo Texas have taken me all across the great Lone Star state! From the Panhandle of Amarillo to the San Antonio Hill Country, I’ve covered a lot of Texas’ diverse landscape. However, Corpus Christi was my first trip to a beach this year and I had been looking forward to it!

549257_974023649282230_2650004121491534673_nI was so happy to be reunited with Miss Rodeo America, Lauren Heaton! After spending almost a month together at Rodeo Houston, Lauren has become one of my great friends and I was excited to be at another rodeo with her. While at the rodeo, Lauren and I were introduced before getting to help push out cattle during the timed events of each performance. That is one of my VERY favorite things to do at a rodeo because I love cow work and getting to be horseback for the entire rodeo. Thank you to Frontier Rodeo Company for providing us with great horses to ride each night!

After the rodeo was over, we headed upstairs to sign autographs alongside the bullfighters and barrelman, Keith Isley. We were also joined by Don Gay, the legendary 8 time PRCA World Champion Bull Rider! We had a great time visiting and and taking pictures with rodeo fans. In addition to the rodeo, Lauren and I got to participate in a radio interview with the local ESPN station to promote the Buc Days Rodeo. We were also honored to go on sponsor visits and thank the companies and individuals that make this rodeo possible.

Thank you to Bill Lathrop for showing us around Corpus Christi and always being so helpful! Thank you also to Don Gay, Frontier Rodeo Company, the pickup men, and everyone else at the Buc Days Rodeo for your help, unbelievable hospitality and kindness. What a fun rodeo to be a part of!

God Bless,
