Attending Rodeo Houston with Miss Rodeo America, Paige Nicholson of Mississippi
During the Miss Rodeo Texas Pageant in June 2013, I had the opportunity to get to meet Paige Nicholson, who was the 2013 Miss Rodeo Mississippi at the time. Paige is now the reigning Miss Rodeo America and I’ve had the honor of getting to know her better throughout my year. She is a true Cowgirl with Agriculture roots that run deep and I am very proud to call her my friend. We both attended the Houston Rodeo and had a blast!

Rodeo Houston hosts an annual event for the Service Men and Women along with their families each year as thanks for all that they give and do. Between 3-4,000 typically attend this event and this year was no exception. Boot Scootin, Bar-B-Q-ing and game playing fun was had by all! It was awesome to be able to take a few moments and sincerely thank these brave soldiers for their service and their families for their sacrifice as well.

Rodeo Houston Grand Entry
It is always such an honor to carry a flag and be a part of a Rodeo grand entry but it is especially moving for me when it is our Texas Flag and a Rodeo with a heritage and history like Rodeo Houston! I can’t thank this wonderful Rodeo Houston organization enough for this experience and Cervi Championship Rodeo for allowing me to ride their beautiful horses again. Rodeo Houston also has some of the most amazing concerts and I loved every minute of this whole experience! What a great way to wrap up the Texas Major Stock Show season. I have filed away so many great memories and added even more wonderful people to my Rodeo Family – including an amazing friend and “queen sister” in Paige.
