Belton PRCA 4th of July Rodeo

 Hello Miss Rodeo Texas Fans,

I hope everyone had a great Fourth of July with family, friends, good food, and fireworks. My family and I had a nice relaxing day before I headed off to the PRCA Belton 4th of July Rodeo. As we celebrate Independence Day this year, let’s not forget to thank our troops for their sacrifices so that we may have our freedom and live in such a great country! The theme of the Belton Rodeo was military appreciation with the rodeo starting off Thursday with Military Appreciation Night. Before the rodeo I was able to visit with troops and their families. I really enjoyed getting to know them, and thanking them for their service. The rodeo also brought in soldiers from Ft Hood and honored them in the arena prior to the start of the rodeo.

Every night during the rodeo I carried flags with the All American Cowgirl Chicks.  The All American Cowgirl Chicks are a trick riding PRCA specialty act out of Weatherford, Texas. Let me tell you, this group of ladies is as talented as they are kind. On Friday morning the Cowgirl Chicks and I went to visit the Children’s Hospital in Temple. We signed autographs, passed out toys, and colored with the children. While visiting the Children’s Hospital, I was so inspired by the children and how brave they are. It was great to be able to visit with them, and to be able to bring smiles to their faces.

After wrapping up three nights of rodeo in Belton, I’d say it was a successful Fourth of July. I would like to thank Keith Smith and the Belton Rodeo Committee for their hospitality and welcoming me on board! They are such a great team and put on an impressive rodeo! If you are in the Belton area next Fourth of July, I highly recommended you attend this PRCA rodeo!

The next stop on my journey as Miss Rodeo Texas will be "The Daddy of Them All" in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Be sure to stay tuned for updates and pictures on the Miss Rodeo Texas blog, Facebook, and Twitter while I’m out on the road!

Happy Trails,
Rosanna Pace
